Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage can help offset some of the financial burden an employee may experience if suffering from a lengthy disability. Kansas City Life Insurance Company will create a plan specifically to meet employers cost objectives, while also meeting the needs of their employees.
Funding options are flexible whether employers want to pay all of the cost, just a portion or allow employees to enroll in a voluntary plan.
Employers may choose to provide an LTD benefit plan of 60 percent of monthly earnings to a maximum benefit amount of $6,000 up to $15,000 for True Group Coverage and a maximum benefit amount of $1,000 up to $6,000 for Voluntary Coverage with either a 90- or 180- day elimination period.
As an added benefit, Kansas City Life’s LTD includes an extensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP program includes up to five face-to-face visits per issue, per year for each member and his or her dependents.
